3 Stars Shreds Great While It Worked.
I bought this on sale from Target. It cuts though paper fast and easy with or w/o stapes. Did a good job on credit cards too. Then after a year it started jamming and then stopped working. It would get 4 stars if it lasted longer.
I didn’t think of it was such a big deal when I was buying this shredder but when I started to use it I found a big convenience in the rolling casters. You can move it around for your comfort when going though the paper you want shredded. If it worked longer maybe it would get 5 stars instead 4 just for the rolling casters.
A negative is the basket which jams and gets the shredding on the floor. (But that seems to be a problem with a lot of the shredders.)
1 Star Has defective sensor
Shredder itself works fine, but the sensor that shuts off the shredder fails quickly in this device. In my case, it starts automatically, but never shuts off until I turn off the switch manually. For others, it never starts when the sensor fails. A “Royal” pain!
4 Stars Works for me
I have owned this shredder for over a year and works fine. Shreds credit cards as well as multiple sheets. I don’t run it over 2-3 mins when I use it and let it rest at least 5 mins between uses.
The auto shutoff quit working after 6 mos, but that is not a problem for me as I just turn it off when I am finished.
Good shredder for the price.
5 Stars Royal 85x Shredder
I have had several paper shredders in the past, but this one is the greatest. I just wish that I bought the next size up. I lost my Mom this summer and she saved everything so I had a lot of her paper receipts, etc to get rid of and most of them had staples. This little thing just zipped thru all of them. I just love it. Would recomend it to anyone.

This shredder is perfect for what I use it for, and gets the job done. Hard to jam. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I feel that it could use the next size larger rollers. All in all, a good value for the price.

Our old shredder finally bit the dust, and we had to look for a new one. This had all the features we wanted, and then some. We especially like the pull-out bin, which makes disposing of the confetti in the recycling bin so much easier. We highly recommend it.
5 Stars Fellowes High-Performance Personal Confetti-Cut Shredder OD1200C
I do not have high-volume document shredding needs yet I wanted a good cross-cut unit as the strip cut type does not offer the security of a confetti or cross-cut. This unit does a good job of confetti-cutting paper, credit cards, small paper clips and staples. It does not take CDs/DVDs. So far, it has not jammed or stop running from over-heating even with continuous use. Works great!
The heavier duty Fellowes Model PS-77Cs at twice the money has a few more bells and whistles on it plus cuts CDs/DVDs, but for moderate office/home use the OD1200C is more than adequate for my needs.
4 Stars Shredder meets Expectations
This is a great Shredder for the price. I would have rated it 5 stars if the printer didn’t arrive with a crack in the case. The machine does a great job cutting up the paper into very small pieces. It can hold quite a bit of shreddings which you’ll find add up quickly. Staples are no problem for this machine. I would buy another one or recommend this to a friend without any hesitation.

I just bought this shredder so this is more of a preliminary review.
I bought this one to replace an OfficeMax shredder I still have.
The OfficeMax shredder is a very good one, very quiet and does a reasonably good job. Unfortunately I abused it by feeding in stuff that was a bit too much for it. Now it will only shred on one side, so it needed to be replaced.
So I bought the Fellowes Intellishred SB-89Ci Shredder.
This is a sturdy shredder. What I particullarly like about it is the electronic sensor that warns you ahead of time that you are putting too much in too shred. In fact it won’t turn on at all if the stack is too thick. So I simply take a few sheets out till the red light turns of and it gobbles it up in seconds. Just under 6 seconds. The rated speed is 10 feet per minute which means 12″ every 6 seconds. So an ll” sheet takes a bit less.
Like some have said it is a bit loud. Louder than my old shredder, but it is a low growl more or less. You can tell it has a very powerful motor and I expect it to last a while. By the way it comes with a 2 year warranty on the whole shredder (by the manufacturer) and a life time warranty on the teeth.
The shreds are very small so it takes a while for the bin to fill. I can usually compress it a couple of times before I need to empty it.
I expect it will last a while.
4 Stars IMPRESSIVE!
I have been searching for a mid-grade shredder for sometime to keep our small office up-to-speed with shredding documents. This shredder can handle a lot of shredding in a day! I have shredded a stack of paper about 500 sheets high (or more) and it only took about 7 minutes to shred all of that! This is amazing compared to our last shredder. The only downside is that only about 8-10 sheets can pass through at a time otherwise the machine gets jammed. BUT, the reverse mechanism is amazing and gets the paper out ASAP. I highly recommend this shredder for anybody searching for a shredder to accommodate medium amounts of shredding. Also, the machine is very quite and the safety features are great!

I highly recommend this shredder!
The only problem I discovered is that there were some sharp edges inside the waste bin that would puncture the receptacle bag so I filed them off. Now… it’s perfect!
5 Stars One Great Shredder
When you’re done paying $29.99 for shredders that aren’t worth the $.99, take a look at this one. it does exactly what it advertises, and doesn’t stop or require you to pull out jammed paper. the one area of notice is the paper bin window which doesn’t give you a reading if a bag is in it (naturally). other than that, this is one hell of a shredder.
5 Stars Best shredder Ive ever owned
If your fed up with shredders that don’t shred then get this one that does what it says it will do. The only caveat is don’t try to force too many pages through at one time. Nothing works forever at full throttle.
